Even Catfish are finicky |
Taste Buds ? Catfish have a more refined sense of flavor than humans. Our 10,000 taste buds may seem like a lot, but catfish can have as many as 175,000. This helps them find the exact location of their next meal. |

The Sailfish bite out of the Los Suenos Marina continues to be solid even with the full moon. The fish seemed to have moved to the west and the bite was anywhere between 20-30 miles out and everyone was catching Sailfish. There were some Mahi Mahi and Marlin bites as well…lots of guys were looking for the Yellowfin Tuna but no luck.
Captain Dana on the “Hoo’s your Daddy” went 9 for 12 on Sailfish and had a couple nice Mahi Mahi.
Captain Jerry on the “Estrella del Mar” released 5 Sailfish while fishing with Jonathon’s group.
Captain Dave on the “Missbehavin” took a family from Pensacola fishing and they went 5 for 9 on Sailfish. Everyone on the boat caught their first Sailfish…congrats.
Thanks for your time,
Bubba
